Donations do not attract GST and are Fully Tax Deductible

Kununurra Historical Society Inc. is endorsed by the ATO as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR).

Your Records of Significance

Whether you are an individual, family, organization or business, and have records of significance to the history of the Ord, please consider their future preservation, in the Kununurra Historical Society purpose built Archive facility. It is of great importance to preserve Kununurra's history, with an ever transient population, the KHS is actively seeking to collect, original or digital photographic collections, and documents, of significance to this history, from past, present and future residents. However small your collection it may be of significance, for example a photograph may give a new angle on something. KHS aims to preserve and welcome the original photographic prints or slides, films, videos, documents or other objects in collections. These donated records can also be digitised to a high standard (at present 5500 pixels on the long side of an image) and returned as fully documented digital images to the donor on a USB memory stick, SD card (or other existing or as yet un-described storage device of the future ;^) - If archival preservation is not wanted, original collections can be digitised and returned to the donor, if required. If you know of records that should be preserved for the future, please  Contact KHS - ALSO see - Your Kununurra History.

KHS has been actively collecting as indicated by the number of archives collected; in 2016 - 123 new collections ; in 2017 - 114 new collections ; in 2018 - 152 new collections ; 112 new collections in 2019 added and so far in 2020 we have received 48 new collections (to May 15th 2020), which have been added to the KHS archive. An archive or collection could be multiple documents, maps, or 1050 x boxed 35mm slides (as we received in March 2020) or museum objects.
