END of "Copy & Paste" Membership Form.

Although we do have  around 100 members, most are spread around Australia with about 10 to 15 local members, of whom around 4 or 5 members regularly attend our monthly meetings.  As some local members have passed, others have recently left, we  need more local members, who can help to keep our Society going strongly in Kununurra.

You would be helping greatly to support the continuation of the important work being carried out by the Kununurra Museum, run by the Kununurra Historical Society (KHS) if you can...

Volunteer for KHS

(KHS Needs You! :^)

Maybe you have excellent PC skills, or like to learn more PC skills (we can help), or would just like to volunteer to help with work in the Museum, learn how to digitise and document collections from the KHS Archive.  Perhaps you have knowledge and skills of youth like coding or AI experience that could greatly assist the work that can be done.

KHS is a totally volunteer organization, with a handful of active members and any help you can give, would be very welcome.

For further information contact us, any time, either at the Kununurra Archives & Museum, Coolibah Drive, Kununurra, where we meet at 5pm on the 1st Tuesday of the month.

If you cannot volunteer you can still support this work by joining or donating to KHS!

The membership form is now pasted in above. To use simply highlight the form section, then paste into an email (to admin@kununurra.org.au) or into your text editor/word processor and edit - Send with subject "KHS Membership"

Your Contributions Keep KHS Strong

(Philanthropic Crowd Sourced Funding for KHS? :^)

All donations are fully tax deductible as KHS is a DGR with ATO and Registered Charity with ACNC.

We hope from what you have seen of KHS online presence to date, that the work being done at KHS is a worthy cause and you would be assisting for this great work to continue and increase.

Are you one of those who loves the history presented here and want to see more?

If you can afford to, your donation would be greatly appreciated and help to preserve and build on this dynamic local history research repository.

Funds will be used to provide new equipment, PC and storage upgrades - terrabytes and terrabytes of hard drives (HDD SSD) are needed to back up and maintain the digital archive, which do and have failed, even expensive shock-resistant drives we thought were safe.  One 5TB hard drive failure costing $2,000 to recover the video data (if they can) will deplete our accounts and some data may be lost.  We have not used Cloud Storage as it all comes at a cost, especially if you have 15 terrabytes of information. New scanner, lighting equipment are needed. Archive-safe boxes and materials are also desperately needed to upgrade existing.  As well as for carrying out extra work required by the Society, to pay for cleaning and other work that needs to be done for the long term preservation of the archive and museum collections, and to ensure the continuation of an active collection policy.

You can go to the form above on this page to get KHS BSB & A/C details to donate directly - Please use Ref:  "Donation + your surname" (Receipt will be sent ).  All donations are FULLY tax deductible) OR you can donate and keep track of all of your donations at the KHS GiveNow page from >> https://www.givenow.com.au/savekununurramuseum
