KHS Digitised Archive Images on Flickr [and how to view]
To date KHS has over 2000 digitised archival photographic images, stored, organised, sorted and documented with information, which are made accessible to all using the Flickr platform. The best way to see what KHS has on Flickr is to View by "Collections" from www.flickr.com/photos/khs-museum/collections/
You can also view by "KHS Subject Themes" ("Collection") or by "KHS (Named) Archive Collections".
Flickr is a web platform for the storage and organisation of digital images, into "Sets," "Collections" (of Sets), "Groups," and "Galleries," which also allow comments and social interaction from other users. As an example people can assist by identifying un-named people or places. You can interact with the KHS Flickr site if you have a Google, Facebook or Yahoo identity, there is no need to sign up to Flickr. IE. Sign in with one of these identities to interact or add your own comments, additional stories, or corrections. There is no need to sign in to Flickr to view the images. Besides the main KHS "Photostream" - Also see "KHS Sets," "KHS Collections" (A Collection of KHS Archive Collections eg. "Kevin Richards 35mm Slide Collection") as well as a "Collection" of "KHS Subject Themes." Also See - About the information for each image (Metadata in Images), which once embedded means no filling in fields on Flickr, as Flickr takes the embedded information from the image and Info for Non Profits (Almost Free Flickr for Non Profits) KHS Administered GROUPs on FlickrKHS also administers the following "Groups," which others can
contribute to. If you have a Google, Facebook or Yahoo identity, there
is no need to sign up to Flickr. IE. Sign in with one of the above-mentioned identities to interact.
Two groups for other Museums and Archival Institutions to contribute.
