As a citizen of Kununurra in 1960 and 1961 (and the second publican of Kununurra), I congratulate Kununurra Historical Society for their organisation of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the gazetting of the town of Kununurra and hope that a lot of people will participate in the event on 10th February and make it a happy occasion.

I visited Kununurra in 1978 and 1993 and will endeavour to return again in the near future and look forward to visiting the Kununurra Historical Society Museum.

It was a great experience being the engineer in charge of starting up the Diversion Dam Project at Bandicoot Bar and I have many outstanding and happy memories of my time in Kununurra.

Best regards

Uffe Hansen
